Pinconning, located north of Saginaw and Bay City, has a Mayor who LOVES the Detroit Baseball Team. In answer to a challenge issued by radio station WHNN, Mayor Mike has renamed the small town Tiger Town for the duration of the World Series. Pinconning, normally known for it's cheese (Pinconning is called the "Cheese Capital") has been proclaiming the new name since Friday August 20 2006. Local business are including the "new name" on signs and in their ads. Local cheese factories and stores are offering cheese labeled "Tiger Town Cheese" instead of the normal "Pinconning Cheese" labels.
